The Angel and the King of Pop

I seriously get sick of all the media coverage of "Stars" as we like to call them. Honestly, I don't care about their political views or what cause they have taken up now. They are, in the big scheme of things, not important.

The recent deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Micheal Jackson are a bit different. Not that I'm all shook up about it our anything. But these were from my generation and I guess it does more to make me consider my own mortaliaty and to think that my generation is coming up to, well..being out of time. Hell, I've never felt better and certainly don't feel like I'm getting older and Farrah had cancer and Micheal appears to have all kinds of issues but they were part of my youth and are now gone.

No one can forget Charlies Angels or that famous red swim suit poster. Certainly, in March of 1983, my senior year, I'll never forget that silhoutted figure with the fedora who suddenly moonwalked across the screen. I was a bit different and listened to KMJQ, Majic 102 out of Clear Lake City and this is where I was exposed to most of his music, and Prince and its where I first heard Madonna. But Micheal was HUGE. I mean lets face it, I don't think we would have heard of the Jackson 5, if it was only the Jackson 4 and no Micheal.

I won't begin to try and figure out how he became an experiment in plastic surgery or what happened that led him to like little boys so much. Yes, I know he was never convicted but Niggah Puuuuhluuze.

And Farah went on to a great career, though we will always remember her as one of the Angels.

Life is short my friends, go out and dance like no one is looking.
