Obama and Congress: Obama warns of GOP congressional takeover - latimes.com
Cruising the blogosphere and linked to the above article from the Gatewaypundit blog.
"They are fired up. They are mobilized. They see an opportunity to take back the House, maybe take back the Senate," he said. "If they're successful in doing that, they've already said they're going to go back to the same policies that were in place during the Bush administration. That means that we are going to have just hand-to-hand combat up here on Capitol Hill."
Now why does no one get in an uproar when Slapbama says anything like this? Everyone wanted to hang W for his "Dead or Alive" quote and he at least was talking about someone responsible for killing 3,000 US citizens. Not a pugilistic apporach to politics among those from the same country.
Then of course the obligatory blame quote:
Days before the release of a key jobs report, Obama said most of the job losses his administration gets blamed for occurred before "any of my economic plans were put into place," and that the country is still "experiencing the hangover from the misguided policies" of the last decade.
2 years later, the carcass of that equine is beaten I would say. Then of course he goes onto to talk about how the combat would be because the GOP would be removing policies he has in place to stabilize the economy. I'm looking around and I'm not seeing anything real stable in our country right now, least of all the President.
I saw a quote by Newt Ginrich on this where he said something to the effect of the "hand to hand combat would be with the American people as it will be their vote that changes the balance of power". Well said Newt! I'll be interested to see if the apathetic parties that "rallied" to vote and put this whack job in office do anything come election time. My guess is no.
In fact in my travels, I've heard many quotes of "ain't seen none of that Hope and Change, Muthafucker aint done shit for me".
Back to the Bravado from the "Messiah",Careful what you wish for Barack, You just might get it. Though my guess is he'd not actually get his hands dirty.
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson
Did someone say "shooting war"?
