Dead Reckoning

is the process of estimating one's current position based upon a previously determined position, or fix, and advancing that position based upon known or estimated speeds over elapsed time, and course.

There are of course some flaws to this type of navigation namely since new positions are calculated solely from previous positions, the errors of the process are cumulative, so the error in the position fix grows with time.

In other words if you don't know where you were at, your probably not going to know where you end up.

Things seem more confusing than ever these days. I'm suddenly that unemployed statistic and no one seems to be interviewing, much less hiring.

Dead reckoning is not the preferred method to go through life because you have to know exactly where you were and things have been so crazy lately, I can't remember where I've been.

Always some solace in lyrics...

"We'll walk this route together through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just lettin you know your not alone
Holla' if you feel like you've been down the same road"

Thanks Marshall.
